This week, Hyundai said it is going to unveil its latest and greatest fuel cell vehicle (FCV) at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The L. A. Auto Show runs from November 22 – December 1, 2013.
According to the Detroit Free Press, “”Hyundai North America CEO John Krafcik said Friday that the Korean automaker plans to unveil a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle next week at the Los Angeles Auto Show … Krafcik declined to provide details about the vehicle Hyundai plans to unveil in Los Angeles.
“However, the Korean automaker is already selling the ix 35, a hydrogen fuel cell version of its Tucson crossover, in Europe. Hyundai plans to build 1,000 of the vehicles by 2015 and has the production capacity to make more if there is enough demand.”
Toyota and Honda have also stated that they intend to unveil a new FCV at the auto show as well. Toyota has given hints of quite a few design details while Honda’s design details have been pretty sketchy.
Hyundai has gone hint-less, however, hiding handy dandy details about their future fuel cell vehicle until the grand curtains are opened and the mystery reveals itself.
